Harrison L. Ogden, 82, Teakean

      Harrison L. (Mick) Ogden passed away Sunday, June 10, 2001, at Clearwater Health and Rehabilitation Center in Orofino. he was 82.

     He was born Sept. 1, 1918, in Garfield County to William Harrison and Sylvia Fuller Ogden. He was schooled in Pomeroy.

     On Nov. 25, 1937, he married Ruby Ellen Choate at Teakean. Ruby and Mick had three children, Barbara, Patricia and Gary. Ruby preceded him in death in 1976.

     In 1979, he married Mamie Choate Fackenthall and they made their home at the Teakean farm. Mick has three stepchildren, Dale and David Fackenthall and Wilma Kleinsmith.

     Mick worked as a farmer and in the logging industry throughout his life. He enjoyed sharing and reminiscing about the early times in both professions. He experienced logging from crosscuts, horses and log drives to the mechanical cutting and helicopter transporting.

     He is survived by his wife; his children; his stepchildren; one sister, Leora (Babe) Choate of Prineville, Ore.; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

     At his request, cremation has taken place and a graveside service is at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Teakean Cemetery.
